INTRODUCTION
|
|
Dr Naveed Iqbal completed his bachelor in Telecommunication Engineering from College of Signals (MCS) in 94' and remained attached with a government organization for the establishment of Microwave Communication in remote areas. In 99', he joined back MCS, National University of Science and Technologies (NUST) as a lecturer and taught various courses related with communication and signal processing. Dr Rao did his MS from College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Rawalpindi under supervision of Dr Shoab A Khan in 2001. He remained as Research Associate with him in Enabling Technologies and later in Center of Advanced Research in Engineering Islamabad (http://carepvtltd.com). Dr Rao has attained his “Doctor in Engineering” (PhD) from Institute of Human Computer Interaction, Tsinghua University Beijing, China with major in Computer Vision. His prime interests are Motion Tracking, Pattern Classification, Signal Processing and Chip Designing. He is author of more than 20 technical papers in various journals and top vision conferences. Currently he is holding chair of Assistant Professor in MCS, NUST and is Director Image Processing Center (IPC). He has interacted with Google Inc, and Microsoft Research Asia, Beijing China for various vision projects and is involved in collaborative research with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), University of Central Florida (UCF), USA, and Tsinghua Universtiy, China.
