        3 February 2012 was a very unfortunate day, as MCS lost a very fine student officer, Captain Muhammad Waqas who attained Shahadat in a bomb blast in Peshawar. Waqas hailed from Buner District and was born in Apr 1987. He joined Corps of Signals on 14 April 2007 and was undergoing his Bachelor of Engineering Degree here in MCS.

        Comdt, faculty and all students of MCS condole his sudden and shocking death and sincerely pray that "ALMIGHTY ALLAH" may rest the departed soul in eternal peace. Indeed it is a great loss for the nation, this institution and his parents. May Allah in his infinite mercy bless his soul with forgiveness and admit him in the eternal bliss of paradise. May Allah also give strength to the bereaved family, friends and us all at MCS to bear this irreparable, tragic and untimely loss with fortitude "Ameen".

It is indeed a news that deeply saddens and touches our hearts. When I think of his parents who have lost their son at this age in such an incident, it really adds to my feelings. I pray to Almighty Allah for him and his family.
