Computing Facilities (CS Department)

The CS department maintains state-of-the-art instructional and research facilities that are continually updated. Instructional facilities include high-speed servers and more than 100 workstations, including Linux computers and Microsoft Windows XP/2004 which are connected to the high-speed campus network and are available for students use 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Individual research groups in the CS department have their own laboratories with specialized equipment. The research groups and laboratories include:

Simulation and Modeling Lab

Virtual Reality Lab

Image Processing Center (IPC)

MIS Cell

In addition to the computing support provided directly by the CS department, the Engineering Division provides computing support via the Management Information Systems (MIS). MIS maintains computer labs and other services for all Engineering students. All MCS students also receive support from the MIS which provides MCS email accounts and high-speed networking services.
